We employ efficient and methodical cleaning methods to comprehensively address all areas of your home, as outlined in our standardized residential cleaning checklist. These checklists ensure that you receive a consistently outstanding clean during every visit. Our cleaners are trained to pay special attention to often-neglected areas that tend to accumulate dust in the chaos of everyday life, such as ceiling fans, the tops of door frames, light switches, and cabinet fronts. We take pride in caring for these specific areas on behalf of our clients. If you have a particular task not covered in our checklist, simply inform our office or your cleaner, and we will allocate the necessary time during your next visit to address it correctly.

During your initial visit from the Fresh Effects team, we devote extra effort to bring your home up to our maintenance-level standards of cleanliness. The first visits typically require more time, as they involve addressing build-up and dust accumulation that is common without a regular cleaning schedule. Following this initial clean, we will discuss with you the frequency of regular cleanings that best suits your needs and budget. While many of our clients find biweekly appointments to be ideal, some prefer weekly or monthly cleanings. Every home and office is unique, and we will recommend the appropriate cleaning frequency based on our assessment.   • Clean and sanitize the toilet, including the base and areas behind it.
  • Wipe down all high-touch surfaces, such as light switches and doorknobs.
  • Clean the mirrors and the exterior of the medicine cabinet.
  • Ensure the soap dish and toothbrush holder are free of grime.
  • Wipe clean the molding and corners.
  • Dust the door molding.
  • Clean the vanity top, removing and replacing items as needed.
  • Wipe down the towel bar and toilet paper holder.
  • Dust the exterior of reachable light fixtures.
  • Dust and wipe clean the baseboards.
  • Vacuum and wash the floors.
  • Empty the garbage, wipe down the can’s exterior, and replace the bag.
  • Maintain an overall neat and tidy appearance in the room.

In all hallways and common areas, the following tasks will be completed:

  • Dust and clean furniture, mirrors, frames, and accessories.
  • Clean all high-touch surfaces, such as light switches and doorknobs.
  • Wipe clean window sills.
  • Dust ceiling fans if reachable and needed.
  • Wipe clean molding and corners.
  • Dust door molding.
  • Dust and wipe clean the baseboards.
  • Vacuum and wash the floors.
  • Maintain an overall neat and tidy appearance in the room.

For the kitchen and any bar areas, the following chores will be completed:

  • Clean the counters, removing and replacing items when possible to unclutter.
  • Spot clean cupboard fronts.
  • Clean and polish the faucet and sink when no dishes are present.
  • Ensure the backsplash is clean and free of splatters.
  • Clean and organize the kitchen table.
  • Dust and clean furniture, mirrors, frames, and accessories.
  • Clean the exterior of the fridge.
  • Clean the exterior of the stove.
  • Dust ceiling fans if reachable and needed.
  • Clean the exterior of the dishwasher.
  • Wipe the interior of all appliances on the counters.
  • Clean all high-touch surfaces, such as light switches and doorknobs.
  • Wipe clean molding and corners.
  • Dust door molding.
  • Wipe clean window sills.
  • Dust and wipe clean the baseboards.
  • Vacuum and wash the floors.
  • Empty the garbage, wipe down the can’s exterior, and replace the bag.
  • Maintain an overall neat and tidy appearance in the room.

For all bedrooms, the following tasks will be completed:

  • Make and change the bed, if fresh linens are provided.
  • Dust and clean furniture, mirrors, frames, and accessories.
  • Clean all high-touch surfaces, such as light switches and doorknobs.
  • Wipe clean window sills.
  • Wipe clean molding and corners.
  • Dust door molding.
  • Dust ceiling fans if reachable and needed.
  • Vacuum and wash the floors, including walk-in closet floors if clear.
  • Empty the garbage, wipe down the can’s exterior, and replace the bag.
  • Maintain an overall neat and tidy appearance in the room.

In all other rooms, the following tasks will be completed:

  • Vacuum and wipe clean the couch as needed.
  • Dust and wipe clean tabletops and desks.
  • Wipe and wash the laundry en suite floor.
  • Dust and clean furniture, mirrors, frames, and accessories.
  • Clean all high-touch surfaces, such as light switches and doorknobs.
  • Dust ceiling fans if reachable and needed.
  • Wipe clean window sills.
  • Wipe clean molding and corners.
  • Dust door molding.
  • Dust and wipe clean the baseboards.
  • Vacuum and wash the floors.
  • Empty the garbage, wipe down the can’s exterior, and replace the bag.
  • Maintain an overall neat and tidy appearance in the room.

Additional Services (please request in advance):

  • Dust blinds if they are sturdy.
  • Clean the inside of the fridge, including shelves and drawers (freezer cleaning, but not defrosting, included).
  • Clean the inside and outside of kitchen cupboards.
  • Organize and clean linen closets, front hall closets, and bedroom closets.
  • Wash, dry, sort, and fold laundry (up to 2 loads per visit).
  • If you have other tasks you’d like to be done, please inquire with our office or your cleaning technician. We strive to tailor our cleaning services to your home’s specific needs beyond the listed tasks.

Finally, before our Fresh Effects professional cleaners leave your home, they will perform safety checks, including:

  • Ensure the stove/oven is turned off.
  • Lock doors if required.
  • Confirm that pets are secure.
  • Ensure windows are closed or left as they were found.
  • Check that toilets are not running.
  • Verify that all faucets are turned off.
  • Set the HVAC system according to your preferences.
